For a more spacious experience, consider requesting a larger room in advance, especially if you're tall, as some rooms can feel cramped.

will come back
Had a cozy stay in a superior double room with a comfy bed and lovely pillows. The bathroom was private and well stocked with towels and body soap. Great tea/coffee maker and flat-screen TV added to the comforts. The pub offered hearty meals, and parking was great with easy bus access to York.

Cozy place. The bed was the comfiest ever. Traffic noise might bother light sleepers. Great food in the restaurant. Had a fun karaoke night too.

The Full English breakfast was a proper treat, fueling my culinary adventures! The comfortable bed made it hard to leave the room, and the cozy vibe was just what we needed for exploring York.
The Double Room was a bit cramped, making it tricky to navigate around the bed.

The bed in our Superior Double or Twin Room felt so cozy and clean. We had a very good sleep every night. The room was nicely decorated and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Tea and coffee facilities made it easy to enjoy a warm drink anytime. The location wasn't ideal, being a bit further from central York, but getting to the city was still easy with nearby bus stops. the cleanliness needed major attention. The shower was in poor condition and forced us to clean it ourselves before using it. This should have been addressed before our arrival. Noise from the nearby road was also disruptive. it had potential but the lack of cleanliness really affected our experience.

brilliant location just outside of york, super easy transport links to the city n attractions. rooms were really good size n clean, felt comfy. food in the evening was good pub food with great value, loved it! hosts were so nice n helpful, arranged bike storage n catered for my veggie breakfast too. even tho the inn is on a busy road, it was easy to find and parking was on site. traffic quieted down in the evening which was cool.
the traffic noise from the road was a bit annoying when the window was open. also, the heating took a while to kick in, we were a lil cold at first.

Comfortable room, good breakfast, the welcoming bar/lounge area made our stay enjoyable, and the location was ideal as it was conveniently situated midway between two places we visited and only 46 km from the nearest airport.

great service but a bit noisy
The staff provided exceptional hospitality, allowing an early check-in and giving helpful bus advice. The room was comfortable, and the meals were delicious, particularly the chicken tikka masala.
The front bedroom had some traffic noise that might disturb light sleepers.
